Founded seventy years ago, the PICTO laboratory, parent company of the PICTORIAL group, has a long history with photographers and image professionals. In 2016, Philippe Gassmann, grandson of the founder and current director of the group, decided to create an endowment fund to support, develop and perpetuate the presence of PICTO alongside key figures from the world of photography.
PICTO FOUNDATION proposes a multi-year programme of actions involving photographers, institutions and prestigious events.
Focussed on Experimenting with images, the programme includes an artist residency, the creation of exhibitions and the encouragement of mediation around the image professions.
PICTO FOUNDATION also supports programmes that meet the creative and visibility needs of photographers.
